Preserving a key wooded buffer area around the proposed Pleasant View Apartments will help bring 48 affordable housing units to Strasburg, Virginia. KBJW and the developer worked with residents and city planners to incorporate a tree buffer into plans for the new apartment building, maintaining the natural beauty of the neighborhood.

Keeping the project on track and under budget, KBJW provided an accurate mapping of this buffer, including all trees above 2 inch caliper. KBJW’s landscape architects and survey team pinpointed the location and identified the species of over 600 trees within this 2,800-linear-foot perimeter buffer, including the size of trees, species diversity, and health.
