Innsbrook Stormwater Management Plan

Innsbrook is a 630-acre mixed-use community that relies on a scenic network of lakes and streams to manage stormwater. With new stormwater regulations taking effect in 2024, the Innsbrook Owners Association retained KBJW to update the Innsbrook Comprehensive Stormwater Management Report and modify the management plan to meet new water quality requirements.

SOLUTIONS OFFERED

KBJW’s study provided an updated approach that complies with Virginia’s new water quality, flood protection, and channel protection requirements. The team updated land cover changes to factor in additional impervious areas added to the community since the last study in 2011. Existing lakes and streams were then analyzed to determine their ability to meet the new water quality requirements. Our team also developed a plan to modify one of the lakes to accommodate future redevelopment plans while maintaining compliance.
