Just a reminder that effective July 1, 2013 the DEQ became the lead agency for nonpoint source pollution control programs caused by stormwater runoff.  Also the 30 day period to provide comments on the final draft of the new Virginia Stormwater Management Handbook (2nd Editions 2013) has begun.  The deadline for comments is 11:59 PM on October 23, 2013. Comments can be sent to Scott Crafton - Stormwater Special Projects Coordinator by email or U.S. Postal Service.  The following link will take you to the handbook.

We are pleased to welcome the newest member to the KB team, Matt Faris, PE. Matt is a Project Manager with Koontz-Bryant and he brings with him over 30 years experience.

One of my former colleagues in the engineering profession was one of the smartest people I have ever known. I owe an awful lot to him for what he taught me over the years. However, there were things he taught me that he may not have been aware of. One of the things I remember about him was how he handled plan review meetings.
